P.O.W.’s – our brothers and sisters in prison for a plant

By nature, prison is a cold and lonely place, and the injustice of being locked up for a plant as safe and therapeutic as cannabis, does not make that loneliness any easier to bear.   Writing a letter to an inmate lets that person know that there are those of us out here who remember them, who support them.  Sadly though, mail in prison is often rare and many do not get any letters at all.  Longing for contact from the outside world, letters that are recieved are read and re-read in efforts to hold onto those precious connections to humanity and freedom.  By writing a letter today, you are showing your support and brightening the day of an inmate who shouldn’t be there in the first place.

Below is a list of current Marijuana Prisoner’s of War that we know about. If you know of someone else who should be on this list,  please use our contact form to let us know and we will add them.

Special Note:  Prisoners can be and are often transfered between facilities without notice, to find current prisoner addresses you can visit  www.bop.gov and use the Inmate Locator

ALL Mail, including any books or magazines are monitored and prison authorities will reject material deemed a risk to the security and order of the institution, or any material that facilitates criminal activity.  Please see our page on prison rules for further information about what you can send, and how to contact inmates.

  1. that’s because when I wrote that for the human solution, chris williams and the flor’s hadn’t been arrested and convicted yet.

  2. Also missing: Ronnie Chang – Held for 20 months awaiting fed trial in San Diego

Ronnie has been moved to an ICE facility near the border. He was offered a deal by the prosecutor. They will drop all charges except 1 count of money laundering. If he pleads guilty, they will consider time served. This plea would include complete property forfeiture. Ronnie turned them down. He wants to fight!

    Ronnie’s address:

    Ronnie Chang 28613-298
    CCA PO BOX 439049
    San Diego CA 92140

  3. It’s sad that we live in a time where using a plant can land you in prison. However, with the recent movements in the U.S. to legalize cannabis, things are finally looking up. Several states now have recreational marijuana reform, with the federal government not involving themselves in shutting it down. It’s beginning to spread and pretty soon, it will be decriminalized across most of the United States.
