The Way of the Cannabis Warrior

In life, sometimes we come upon situations that bring out the warrior in all of us. This blog is dedicated to my warrior friends on the front lines of the war on cannabis. We are winning the battle and the wind is at our backs. While the battle is FAR FROM OVER, there is major progress being made.

This blog will follow the war closely and provide a dialogue for warriors of all sorts to engage one another on the next steps in the fight for cannabis freedom. There will be informative articles, personal opinions, and current happening that will all be open for discussion. This journey has consumed my life for over a decade and I have given my freedom and privacy to lead the charge and be a part of the solution.

This is a great time to be a cannabis warrior. Please join me in an ongoing discussion about the way of the cannabis warrior. Together we can continue to break down barriers and open the doors of intolerance. The prohibition of cannabis is still very much alive. People lose their freedoms, their livelihoods, their families, and their peace of mind simply because of their safe use of cannabis. This is no longer acceptable. The facts are in. Cannabis is safe and enjoyable. The war on cannabis has been a complete failure. It is time we, as a society, stand up and be accounted for.

I look forward to chronicling the beginning of the end of cannabis prohibition. Join me in my warrior stance and together we can ensure that the future looks much more kind and green.

  1. For years I treated emergency department patients presenting with overdoses of every drug and substance imaginable. No one ever died from a marijuana overdose. I cannot say the same about patients presenting with overdoses of alcohol, anti-anxiety drugs, anti-depressants, narcotic pain relievers, sleeping pills or even aspirin; all of which are potentially fatal!

Prohibiting or closing medical cannabis dispensaries by the police and politicians only benefits the arrest, prosecution and incarceration industries, as well as the numerous criminal enterprises that benefit from cannabis prohibition.

Sadly, our politicians and police try their best to make it impossible to obtain even medical cannabis. They prohibit or shut down cannabis dispensaries that comply with State Laws and the guidelines of our Attorney General. They have been ignoring the will of the people and the laws of our land since 1996 when the Compassionate Use Act became law. They say things like they are protecting our children as justification for their actions, yet they allow alcohol, the most toxic and deadly narcotic on Earth, to be sold right next to the milk isle in our supermarkets!

  2. Cops make big money on both ends of the prohibition equation. Prohibition is the biggest cash cow the cops have ever had. They will fight to the death to keep the status quo. This goes 10 fold for the narcotics officers.

Legalizing Cannabis will empty half of our prisons. and result in a substantial decrease in prosecutors and cops who suck the life blood out of our economy with their exorbitant, overly inflated and undeserved salaries, benefits and pensions.
If Cannabis were legal, there would be fewer cops, cop cars, criminal court cases, prisons and prisoners. The change in policy would result in a direct saving of billions of dollars a year, all of which are now wasted on inflated, and wasted salaries and pensions to the people who arrest, prosecute and incarcerate cannabis users. Almost every law-enforcement unit, every local police department, and every district attorney’s office devotes excessive manpower to enforce Cannabis law.
